Shelley enjoyed an incredible weekend working backstage at the Trafalgar Square main stage as thousands of visitors flocked to the capital to celebrate London Pride 2017.
Event organisers Seventa Image invited Shelley to join their Pride Artistic Team to tend to the tresses of VIP Guests, Celebrities and Artists. Shelley worked alongside milk_shake Education Manager Becky Wardrop and Educator Kelly Summerfield and Seventa’s Head Stylist Teressa Weller creating beautiful braids, soft tousled waves and retro curls. The glitter sparkled as the sun shone down on Trafalgar Square, whether it was placed within braids, on the roots or within skin-fades….it was in high demand from all the artists.
Guests including Sinitta, Jennifer Paige, Stooshe, BETSY, Caitlyn Downie, Michael Twaits, Ben Davis, Tiger Lilly and Trudy Howson all visited the pop up salon!
Rainbow flags adorned the capital as supporters in colour fancy dress paraded from Baxter Street to Trafalgar Square with flags raised from over 200 countries raised in solidarity with the LGBT community. milk_shake Direct Colour was used to create beautiful rainbow-coloured hair extensions that looked sensational.
‘we had the most magical time. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of such a huge, inspirational and happy celebration. The team were fantastic, we worked hard and then enjoyed time celebrating with the crowds. milk_shake products were, as always, excellent to work with – the Direct Colour is ideal to create such vivid rainbow colours and the new Dry Shampoo and Strong Hold Hairspray were godsends‘
